| Q) | How long does it take to get a shower door? |
| A) | Some doors are in stock and custom installations take about 2-3 weeks. |
| Q) | What are the store hours? |
| A) | Monday-Friday 7:30-5:00 P.M., Saturday 8:00-3:00 P.M. |
| Q) | Do you have a showroom? |
| A) | Yes. We are located 1/8 mile west of Meadowbrook Pkwy. and we have over 40 units on display. You can also visit our virtual showroom. Click here to visit our virtual showroom. |
| Q) | What are my options for shower doors? |
| A) | We have semi-frameless, frameless and solid brass framed doors. |
| Q) | What should be considered when designing or laying out a shower door? |
| A) | Frameless units have limitations on what can be done. Door placement, protruding border tiles, marble sill overhangs and body spray placement are all important issues. You should call us to make sure your shower door is built right. Also, shower doors cannot be hinged onto glass tiles. |
| Q) | What should I do if I can't open a swing door? |
| A) | Sliders would be the best option for that situation. |
| Q) | What is the standard height of a sliding door? |
| A) | Tub height is 60" or 62 1/2". Shower height is 70" or 72".. |
| Q) | What is the standard height of semi-frameless doors? |
| A) | 69" or 75" is the standard height. You can also get a custom height. |
| Q) | What is the standard height of frameless doors? |
| A) | 72" or 78" height off the curb or pan. |
| Q) | What are my glass options? |
| A) | Clear glass is most common because the room appears larger and the tile is highlighted. Low iron glass products are less green and should be considered when using light (white) color schemes. See website for additional pattern glass options available at additional cost. |
| Q) | Are there any choices of hardware or handles? |
| A) | We have the largest selection of hardware available; knobs, levers, pulls, etc. See website for hardware options. |
| Q) | What finishes are standard for hardware? |
| A) | Polished chrome, polished brass, and brushed nickel are standard. There are slight upgrade charges for polished nickel, antique brass, brushed chrome, brushed brass and antique copper. Note: some finishes don't have matching handles. We can offer custom plating. The lead time will be extended and pricing will be higher due to the nature of the process. Currently we are plating all Kohler's finishes. Lead time is roughly 6-8 weeks. |
| Q) | Do you stock any doors? |
| A) | We stock most sizes in shower/tub sliders. Please check availability. 1/4" clear and 3/8" clear finishes may vary. Also available are frameless hinged doors-check with your sales person. |
| Q) | Do you come to measure for a price quote? |
| A) | Initially you can get a quote via email, fax or come into the showroom with measurements or a digital camera shot. Upon receiving a quote an appointment will be made for one of our technicians to perform a field measure. A prepaid deposit is required for this service. |
| Q) | What type of deposit is required? |
| A) | We require a 1/3 deposit. |
| Q) | What type of payments do you accept? |
| A) | Visa, Mastercard, check and cash. |
| Q) | Do you go to Manhattan? |
| A) | Locally, we serve the areas from Montauk to Manhattan. Out of state commercial projects are also welcome. |
| Q) | Do you offer anything for spotting on glass? |
| A) | We offer a product called Showerguard. Information about this product is available on NewYorkShowerDoor.com. You can also manually apply Invisable Shield (similar to Rain X). |
| Q) | Do you offer a warrantee? |
| A) | Our warrantee is 1 year from installation for leakage. The manufacturers carry various warrantees from 5 years to lifetime. |
| Q) | Can you recommend a good contractor? |
| A) | We can recommend various contractors with integrity and hands-on experience. |
